Hector's journey on the show captivated many viewers and his tale of recovery was an uplifting tale of perseverance. Though details about Hector's post-show life remain vague, his social media presence and ongoing dedication to animal welfare show that he continues to make an impactful difference beyond television screens.
After several years of traveling and working with Hector on Dr. Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet, Hector decided to step away from television due to wanting more time with his family, specifically his wife and daughter. Additionally, Hector felt his involvement on TV was hindering other aspects of his clinic work that needed his focus.
Hector last appeared in October 2020, working alongside Dr. Jeff on an interesting case featuring goats that were showing signs of distress. Additionally, Hector still appears on the clinic website, verifying his active employment at PPI Centre.
Though Hector no longer appears regularly on the show, he still makes special appearances and brings tremendous talent and dedication to Planned Pethood Plus team. Hector has formed strong bonds with coworkers over his time there and his passion and drive are evident through his dedication towards animals.
