Major Johnny Thompson was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1978. He grew up in a military family, with both of his parents serving in the armed forces. He attended West Point Military Academy, where he graduated with honors in 2000.
After graduating from West Point, Major Thompson was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. He served multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, earning numerous medals and awards for his bravery and leadership.
